I'm afraid its the end..........................

.........................of my knitting days!!

Sorry i havnt blogged for a few days about my challenge to knit a cushion, i have been rushed off my feet!!!

Anyway i started kniting and used to balls of wool but they must not have been big balls as the knitting i created wasnt big enough to make the cushion i wanted!!!

My son then asked me if i could make it in to a little cushion for his Lucy! (his beloved ragdoll) so that is what i did and here it is.............It is possibly the worst thing i have ever made lol but Oleigh and Lucy were happy with it and couldn't wait to get snuggled up into bed!!

So that is the end off my Knitting days for now it wasn'tsomething i particulary enjoyed but am glad i tried something new...........i ma now going to focus on the craft i love xxx

My New Challenge!!

I have decided to set myself a challenge and try and learn a new craft that i am a complete novice at and thought i would log it all down in my blog so let the trails and tribulations begin .................................

Ok so i collected the things i thought i would need which was wool, knitting needles and a getting started booklet!!

So the first thing is to cast on now let me tell you it took me about an hour .........yes you heard right AN HOUR! to cast on 27 stitches, i did however keep unravelling what i had done because it didnt look right :-0 so here is where i left it last night...............

Oh dear :-[ i am failing at this blog lark is my life so so busy that i struggle to write every week??? the answer to that is YES at the moment!!!

I have also had quite a few orders for girls keepsake boxes and this is one i have just finished.....

this all in between having, painters,plasterers,electritions and joiners in my house to get it decorated so my house has been upside down for a while!!!!

My New Recycle Range &Giveaway!!!!

I have started making a recycle range where i find items that have been discarded or forgotten about and I give them a new lease of life for example, photoframes, coat hooks, wooden boxes etc

I really enjoy doing this and have decided to open another shop on Misi and Folksy just purely for these items

Right to the giveaway............... i need a name for my new store i am wanting something to say i recycle and something funky!!!

I am asking you for ideas for a name for this new shop and the one i like the best can choose an item in my new shop

Doesnt time fly lol ....................... was supposed to be blogging quite regular but dont seem to be able to fit everything in!

I must admit i had been crafting like mad for the last 2 weeks as i did a handmade market stall (my first i may add!!!) on Saturday at Sheffield and wanted to have plenty of stock!

Most of the stock has returned with me - boo hoo, as the footfall wasnt great and it was a cold wet day but i was pleased with how my stall turned out was worth going for the experience here are some piccies....................

Anyway i have been crafting like a mad women to get some creations together for The Handmade Market which i am attending at the Workstation - Sheffield on Sat 6th March organised by Hamdmade Revolution http://www.handmade-revolution.co.uk/6.html

Will be my first time so am a little nervous but sure it will all be ok on the day ....well thats what i keep telling myself

Also it will be the launch of Wow Thankyou on the 5th March which i am really excited about part off so its all go this end

Was up very late last night - no wait early hours of this morning!!!

I have wanted to send something to artbymimi for the christmas lbom http://littlebookofmisi.blogspot.com/2009/02/little-book-of-misi.html(little book of misi)as it would be my first time to participate in something as great as this!

Anyway i have been so busy with the family and totally forgot about the deadline which was today 10th Oct!!I realised this yesterday and started to panic.

But the lovely Mimi http://www.misi.co.uk/handmade/artbymimi.html said i still had time to send my business cards and thought i would send a few samples so i started this at 10.30 last night and carried on into the early hours to get my samples finished soi could send them today.

Well i did finish them and have now been posted out and although i am very very tired and i am really pleased that i managed it and pleased with what i made.

So i will stop writing now and show you all my Christmas Lbom samples

Last Day Of School Holidays!!!!

Finally the last day of the school holidays has arrived and i am sooo glad!!

Not only are the monsters ready for it but i am wanting my nice tidy house back lol!!!

I am also looking forward to a little more time to do my crafting and am starting on Halloween and maybe ..............dare i say it????!!!!!!.........................Christmas.

and the second is a personalised dirty dancing hen night photo album made for a Joanne on facebook

I am really pleased with them and hope they are too x-x
